Harris
Pianist and Vocal Entertainer

Richard is from Caldicot in Monmouthshire. He started his
professional vocal training under the late Dorothy Adams Jeremiah who had
previously trained famous opera singers Gwyneth Jones and Margaret Price.
He studied piano with Sylvia Vincent and then with Christopher Knot at Crosskeys
college while studying performing arts. He then went on to study under
Julian Jacobson at the Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Richard has made many solo appearances on TV and Radio shows such as HTV's "Moon and Stars", Michael Barrymore's "My
Kind Of Music" and BBC's "Just Up Your Street". He has also appeared with his trio on the Chris Evans show "OFIS".
His Piano/Vocal talent has seen him perform across the world at many corporate and private events. He has been the resident
Pianist/Vocalist at the Celtic Manor Resort near Newport in South Wales, UK since 1999 and has performed alongside stars such as
Ronan Keating, James Nesbitt, Charlotte Church and Jonathan Wilkes. His influences include Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder,
Barry Manilow, George Benson, Johnny Mathis, Elton John, George Michael, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Junior, Ella
Fitzgerald, Dean Martin and Ian Shaw. Richard is also a composer and performed his song "Cafe Days" on the talent show "moon and
stars".
